Annual Report

Fr. Agnel school was established in the year 2004 by the Society of Pilarthrough a registered body “VidyaSagarMandal”. The school is primarily meant to provide education that is based on sound human values. The school also intends to prepare its pupils in the cultural, social and physical aspects of life.

The year 2019 is marked with many events and success stories. This can be attributed to the dedication & team spirit of the members of the management, staff & students.

Fr. Agnel School has always believed in imbibing in its students value based education synergized with modern teaching-learning methods to produce a generation of well informed and emotionally sound generation. We will continue this journey with elevated enthusiasm and persistently provide a platform of holistic learning to the young generation of learners.

The curriculum emphasizes the acquiring of knowledge, useful skills, critical thinking and problem solving abilities. We believe that every student is unique and special and that they have the ability to learn. It is our responsibility as educators to develop and nurture every students to reach maximum potential.

Academic Performance

This year our students of Std. X in their board examination 2018-19 came out with flying colours. From our school, the first rank is secured by Donald Wahane with 96.6%, second rank is secured by ApoorvaNinave with 95.4% and third rank is secured by Aryan Gaidhanewith 95.2%.

Games and Sports-

The Fr. Agnel School is making continuous efforts forthe all round development of our children. In additionto academic excellence equal importance is given to physical development of children by promoting interestin games. Our children participated in state & district level competitions and returned with a haul of trophies & medals.

Achivements:

  • Boys under 14 won the District Football Championship.
  • The boys Under 14 won the District Cricket Championship.
  • In Skating Under 11, 14, 17 & 19 the school won Championship in 2019-20.
  • Three girls were qualified for state one in football & two in skating.
  • Under 17 our girls won the District Badminton Championship.
  • The students Under 14, 17, 19 won District CarromChampionship.
  • Under 17 boy’s won District Chess Championship.

Co-Curricular Activities

All round development of children demands promoting interest in cultural and literary activities. Competitions were conducted in music, dance, spell bee, essay writing, elocution etc.

We are conducting different kinds of competitions like rangoli, fancy dress, table recitation, debate etc. and encouraged the children with the prizes.

Drawing and painting is another area where the school regularly excels. Several organizations conducted competition in the school such as Byjus, Neltas, Toppers, etc. Children won the prizes and certificates.

All important festivals and commemorative days are celebrated in the school to inculcate the unity among the students and to bind the children together to appreciate each other’s festivals and culture.

RakshaBandhan

RakshaBandhan is a precious and pious occasion to celebrate the beauty of love between brother sister. The tradition of tying a holy thread ‘Rakhi’ around the wrist of brothers by their sisters symbolizes Raksha (Protection). It is typically a hindu festival. Rakhi is a colourful thread- symbol of affection, sisterly love and sublime sentiments. All the students from class I to X participated and made traditionally colourful Rakhis.

School is providing full opportunities to every child for their physical, emotional and spiritual development.

Interaction with parents

School has arranged two general parent- teachers meeting in a year. Other parent- teachers meeting wereheld on the second Saturday of every month to enhance student’s performance.

Student Council

The school has an active student council. The oath taking ceremony of student council was held on 22nd of June 2019. Through various activities conducted and managed by the students, they acquire leadership qualities.

Clubs

Students of this school are actively participating in different activities of the clubs. Clubs such as Science, Maths, Literary, Eco, S.St, Art and culture, health & wellness exist in the school.
Eco club-
The main objectives of this club is to spread environmental awareness and to carry out activities related to the protection of the environment.

Science Exhibition-

The exhibition was held in the month of 30thNovember 2019. The students came forward with creative ideas and models of every class. Many new concepts such as designing of future city, new energy concepts etc. were showcased by the students.

Students also participated in Cluster level Science exhibition held in Bhandara, exhibited models and are awarded prizes.

Picnic

“ALL Work and NO Play makes a Jack a Dull Boy.”

The school has organized one day picnic programs for the students. Std. X & XI students went on hiking in the deep jungle for nature experience. The students of middle school were taken for a ADVENTURE CAMP to “Waghville” where they carried out activities like Safari, Zorbing, Rappelling. On this day when all the teacher and the students together collectively had all the fun.

Innovative Practices

The school has undertaken handwriting competitions, creative writing competitions etc. With the hope of getting desired success in near future.

The SMC

The SMC has played a key role in all the activities of the school. The active and hardworking staff members impart quality education to our children. The cooperation of parents has always been helpful to achieve our set targets. With the co-operation received from parents and school staff, I hope our blooming children will shine like star in the world.
